Introduction To Planning Your Event
Welcome! Beth Jacob wants to be the first place you think of when you plan to celebrate your wedding, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, brit milah, baby naming, or any other occasion with the rest of your community. Beth Jacob is able to accommodate events from small, intimate dinners to large events throughout the entire weekend and on week days.
Know that no matter what questions you might have about planning your event at Beth Jacob – whether about food and kashrut, matters of Jewish observance, guidelines for dress, etiquette, family concerns, or behavior during events – feel free to ask the shul staff. We’re here to help make your experience at Beth Jacob enjoyable, memorable and meaningful.
Beth Jacob is committed to maintaining an egalitarian community. Our goal is to offer a pervasive sense of warmth and affection, fostered by the equality with which all of our members and their families are valued. For that reason, we encourage celebrations that are joyful in feel, inclusive in character, and financially modest in scope. As a community, we actively avoid ostentatious decoration and exclusivity at all life-cycle events, B’nai mitzvah in particular.
