Financial Need and Sponsored Events

Beth Jacob
The synagogue is open for deliveries Monday through Thursday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm, and on Friday from 8:30am to 2:00pm. All deliveries made on Fridays (from florists and caterers to vendors delivering kippot, wine, DJ equipment and more) must arrive by 2:00 p.m. for events occurring on Shabbat or Saturday night.  No deliveries are accepted on Shabbat or other religious holidays.
Delivery of Food to Beth Jacob Kitchen
Every food product entering the Beth Jacob kitchen must enter with the seal intact in its original packaging, unopened, and displaying a kosher-certified hekhsher, and all food must be checked in by a certified shul mashgiach (kashrut supervisor). As with all deliveries noted previously, food cannot enter the Beth Jacob kitchen during the hours of Shabbat or religious holidays. Food must be delivered during shul business hours before 2:00 pm Friday or at a pre-arranged time. If you have any questions, talk to Sean Murphy.
Removal of Food from Beth Jacob Kitchen
Leftover food may not be removed after an event until Shabbat is over — a time which varies, so please work with Sean Murphy in advance to arrange the proper time to pick up your food.
Leftover Food
As you consider what to do with leftover food from your simcha (event), please keep in mind that the shul’s Chesed (“kindnessâ€) Committee provides meals to those in need or who have recently suffered a loss. If you’d like to perform this mitzvah, contact Sean and Rabbi Allen.
If you would like to donate left over baked goods to another family celebrating a simha within a few weeks of yours, or would like other options for any left over food please contact Rabbi Allen.
